Flexpet Review
FlexPet is a joint health supplement for cats and dogs. Arthritis in cats and joint pain can cause aches which can decrease your cat’s quality of life. Cat arthritis doesn’t have to be a debilitating condition. Supplements and medications can help reduce pain and inflammation while also improving joint health.
Flexpet for Cats
Flexpet is a well known and established product for arthritis treatment in cats and dogs. Its parent company, Flexcin, was established in 2000, so it’s been around for quite some time. Flexpet has been on the market for many years.
Although much of the Flexpet site references dogs, it does work for cats too. The wonders it works for dogs can also be said true for cats.
I think there’s been a pattern of more products marketed towards dog owners because there is this sometimes false assumption, my opinion anyway, that cat owners aren’t as attached to their felines the same way the canine owners are with their animals. If you’re on this site, I know you likely agree with me. We love our cats and will do whatever we can to keep them healthy and happy.
Cat Joint Supplement
Cats can become injured and have wear and tear on their joints as they get older. Sometimes it’s not just age; it can be an injury. I had a cat with an injured knee joint years ago before Flexpet was on the market. Her vet suggested a glucosamine supplement. I gave it to her on a daily basis, and it did seem to help her.
Flexpet not only has glucosamine which is great for joint pain and overall health but a proprietary ingredient. Their patented ingredient is CM8 (Cetyl-myristoleate) making their supplement like a super-charged glucosamine cat joint supplement.
Remember when you visit the Flexpet site that although most of the product pictures are of dogs, it can be administered to cats too. Here’s a picture with both and if you look at the bottle it clearly reads “Joint Health for Dogs and Cats” with an image of both on the label.
It comes in a chewable treat you give to your pet on a daily basis. We know cats aren’t always as cooperative as dogs in taking supplements disguised as treats, so you may need to crush it up and mix it in some cat food.
Flexpet Joint Supplement for Pets Discounts
As with most supplements, you can get a better deal if you buy more than one bottle. I know I’m sometimes hesitant to buy in a bulk when trying a new product. I try to do my research and then if I determine the product has an overall positive rating, I usually take the deal rather than buy just a single bottle.
For the most current deals, check the official Flexpet web site.
Buying in bulk offers a discount on Flexpet. However, if you want to try a bottle first, that is completely understandable. Once you know the joint supplement is working for your cat, you can get your deal on your subsequent orders.
Flexpet also offers a trial pack to try it out.

How Long Before FlexPet Will Work
From the research I did, most consumers noticed improvements within two to three weeks of giving the recommended daily dosage. Some did take longer. Flexpet recommends using the product for at minimum two months and be given on a regular daily basis to adequately evaluate your cat’s results.
Flexpet with cm8 Dosage
You determine the dosage by your pet’s weight. For cats (and small dogs) which are defined as under 25 pounds, the daily dosage is 1-2 tablets per day. Each bottle contains 60 tablets which should last a month or two for one cat. Since cats aren’t usually as agreeable to taking tablets as dogs, you can always crush it up and mix it in with some wet food.
Ingredients in Flexpet & What They Do
CM8 (Cetyl-myristoleate)
Cetyl myristoleate cm8 is their key proprietary ingredient used in Flexpet. It is a natural ingredient used to lubricate the joints and decrease swelling and reduces inflammation.
Glucosamine Sulfate
Glucosamine sulfate is a popular ingredient in many joint medications for rebuilding joints and cartilage used to help lubricate and reduce swelling and can be helpful for hip and joint issues.
MSM (Methyl-sulfonylmethane)
MSM is for joint support and it’s an anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling.
HCII (Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II)
HCII helps to renew and maintain connective tissue.
Bromelain
Bromelain is a digestive aid to help get the medicine in your cat’s system, and it’s an anti-inflammatory.
It also contains an Enzyme Blend to help with digestion and retention of all ingredients.
Flexcin International – About the Company
Flexpet is made in the USA by Flexcin International LLC which is located in Florida. I wanted to verify the track record of the company since it’s common to find positive reviews online.
BBB Info for Flexpet
As I typically do, I looked them up on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website. Both Flexpet, and Flexcin International which is listed as the manufacturer, had an A rating.
At this time, there are no complaints on file with the BBB.
Other Flexpet Reviews
One of my go-to’s to get honest reviews is Amazon. I checked reviews there and saw the overwhelming majority were 4 and 5-star reviews. Flexpet seems to be a popular arthritis supplement for dogs with joint issues which tend to be more afflicted with the condition than cats.
No Cat Owner Reviews
Reviewers referenced dogs, some small and some large, but no cats were referenced in the reviews. Flexpet clearly states you can give it to cats, but evidently the reviewers are pet owners with dogs.
Personally, I did have a cat several years ago who sprained a knee joint, and I was giving her a glucosamine supplement which seemed to help. Glucosamine is one of the Flexpet ingredients and there are several glucosamine supplements for cats if you prefer to try that since there is no feedback on cats in the reviews.
Where to Buy Flexpet
Flexpet is available on their official website. You can sign up for auto-ship plans to get a discount on the price. Since arthritis is not curable, pets who become arthritic will need to be given the supplement on a regular basis to maintain continued improvement. Signing up for an auto-ship plan would seem to be the way to go in the long run rather than ad-hoc single bottle purchases.
